New Horizons Band
Rehearsal and Concert Schedule
New Horizons Band has several regularly scheduled concerts, December at the Iowa City Senior Center and at the Englert with the Iowa CIty Community Band, May in Voxman, late June (in a city park with the Iowa City Communit Band) and late July. The small groups hold recitals twice a year, in December and May at the Senior Center. In addition, the band is sometimes asked to perform for various other events.

Spring rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 10:30 am
in the Iowa City Senior Center Assembly Room.
Ensembles rehearse before or after Full Band rehearsal or other times
and follow the Full Band calendar.

Tuesday, January 20, 2026 -- First Spring Session rehearsal
Tuesday & Thursday, March 16 & 18, 2026 -- No Rehearsal (Spring Break)
Thursday, May 7, 2026 -- Final Spring Session rehearsal
Concerts:
Tuesday, April 21 2026, 7 pm -- Full Band at Oaknoll (private)
Thursday, April 30, 2026, 2 pm -- Ensembles at ICSC in the Assembly Room
Thursday, May 7, 2026, 2 pm -- Full Band at ICSC in the Assembly Room
Summer 2026
Summer rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the Iowa City Senior Center Assembly Room.
Ensembles do not rehearse during the summer session.
Rehearsals:
Tuesday, June 2, 2026 -- First Summer Session rehearsal
Thursday, July 23, 2026 -- Final Summer Session rehearsal
Concerts:
Late June, Sunday -- Outdoor concert in a local park (bring your lawn chair)

Thursday, July 23, 2 pm -- Full Band in the ICSC Assembly Room
Fall 2026
Fall rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 10:30 am

and follow the Full Band calendar.

Tuesday & Thursday, November 24 & 26, 2026 -- No rehearsal (Thanksgiving Break)

Monday Night Band --
Rehearsals are each Monday from 5:30 pm to 6:30 at West Music in Coralville.
Family/Friends are welcome at the final rehearsal of each session to hear the band.

March 16 -- NO Rehearsal (Spring Break)
Early May -- End of Session
Concert:
Early May, 5:30 pm -- End of Session Concert and Party (bring guests and goodies)
