New Horizons Band
Rehearsal and Concert Schedule
New Horizons Band has several regularly scheduled concerts, December at the Iowa City Senior Center and at the Englert with the Iowa CIty Community Band, May in Voxman, late June (in a city park with the Iowa City Communit Band) and late July. The small groups hold recitals twice a year, in December and May at the Senior Center. In addition, the band is sometimes asked to perform for various other events.

Fall rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 10:30 am
in the Iowa City Senior Center Assembly Room.
Ensembles rehearse before or after Full Band rehearsal or other times
and follow the Full Band calendar.

Tuesday, November 4 -- NO rehearsal(Election Day)
Tuesday, November 11 -- NO rehearsal (ICSC closed)
Tuesday & Thursday, November 25 & 27 -- No rehearsal (Thanksgiving Break)
Tuesday, December 9 -- Final Fall Session rehearsal

Summer rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the Iowa City Senior Center Assembly Room.
Ensembles do not rehearse during the summer session.

Thursday, July 23, 2026 -- Final Summer Session rehearsal
Concerts:
Late June, Sunday -- Outdoor concert in a local park (bring your lawn chair)

Monday Night Band --
Rehearsals are each Monday from 5:30 pm to 6:30 at West Music in Coralville.
Family/Friends are welcome at the final rehearsal of each session to hear the band.
